RUN N' GUN
What is RUN N' GUN?
This 3v3 game is astonishingly fast-paced. The play takes place at simi-full court and teams consist of a maximum of 7 players. This 3v3 is designed to simulate a 5v5 game.
The rules are simple: everyone is a guard, meaning that due to a shorter floor it's easier to get to the frontcourt faster so all players need to have a strong sense of defense. The 15 Seconds Shot-clock keeps the pace continuous preventing no chance for over-dribbling. The fast pace of this 3v3 game keeps the momentum and pace going. On top of that, players are given the chance to freely explore and actively take part, giving them a greater opportunity to enhance their skills!
Benefits of RUN N' GUN
- More touches, shots, handling the ball, passes, rebounds, etc... for players: On average players will touch the ball 1/6 of the time as opposed to 1/10 of the time in 5v5.
- Everyone is a guard: if you get a rebound, you push the ball up the floor. All players need to learn to dribble with their heads up and look to advance the ball.
- Fast Game: Due to the shorter floor, players get into the frontcourt faster which provides more shots, passes, rebounds, times defending, etc...
